Winter Blanket Guide



First, there is two things to consider before purchasing a winter turnout blanket for your horse. The grams and the denier.

Denier
Denier is the fiber thickness of individual threads used to create fabric. When the denier is higher, the fabric is more thick, allowing for greater durability to tearing. On the market their is blankets available from 420D to 1680D fabric.

Grams
The weight of the blanket refers to grams of fill between the inner and outer layers. The higher the number of grams, the warmer the blanket is.
